Leeds United's home match with Crystal Palace has been moved from 2pm on Sunday, December 21 to 8pm on Saturday, December 20. This is due to fixture congestion for the visitors. Leeds more than happy to accommodate it for better matchday revenues and atmosphere under the lights. #lufc

This is far from the first time Daniel Farke has called the Leeds United fanbase emotional.

The messaging, and his intention, are the same, but the circumstances are very different. #lufc
Leeds United, the mood pendulum, and the looming threat of must-win territory

DF: "I don't think they're mentally struggling. If the outside world is panicking and mentally struggling after everything is a bit closer, we can't influence it. We are quite calm within the group. We don't need a mental break right now." #lufc

DF: "Difficult run with three away games in four. Never in the bottom three, still on a one-point-per-game average."

Says Gnonto was an option off the bench, but they felt the extra two weeks of training after today would be better than risking him today after so long out, including a surgery #lufc

DF: "The fanbase is very, very emotional. Everyone doubts us after every loss. Everyone has the right to be critical because we have conceded too many goals in the last two games. We could have made our lives easier, for sure. I didn't expect a smooth, easy ride this season." #lufc

Farke very angry with the referee before the second goal. Felt Stach should have been given a foul not penalised for one, which Forest eventually scored from. Does though criticise the defending of the cross for the goal. #lufc

DF: "Quite normal you're angry after a loss. Small details important. A few details not good enough today. Really good start. Great finish from Nmecha. Gave this away so cheaply. Should have been more on it in the duels." #lufc

Full-time. Forest 3-1 Leeds. Another afternoon of one-way traffic on the road. Whatever your perspective on the performances, the points-per-game and the reality of being a newly-promoted team, it's only getting harder between now and 2026. #lufc

Goal. 3-1. Long way back for Leeds now. #lufc

Ampadu has a long debate with the referee, but it's a clear penalty. Anderson to take. #lufc

Bijol and Gudmundsson off for Struijk and Harrison in the 82nd minute. #lufc

Superb save from Sels to deny James from 20 yards. Was bending into the corner. Save rolled to Gudmundsson for a low drive, but an offside Bogle diverted it wide of goal. #lufc

Longstaff off for Piroe, Nmecha off for Calvert-Lewin and Aaronson off for James in the 74th minute. #lufc

Longstaff in the book for a foul on Ndoye as Forest broke. Hosts entirely in the ascendancy after that second goal. Leeds looking more and more ragged. Piroe and James coming on. #lufc

Goal Forest. Gibbs-White. Hutchinson beats Gudmundsson too easily as he drives onto his left foot on the right flank. Crosses for the far post and the home skipper ghosts in to glance home. #lufc

Forest cut through Leeds quickly. Ndoye and Jesus combine near halfway to release the former. Rodon competes with him, nearly sends him over in the box, but the cutback is made and Bogle is there to block Jesus's effort. #lufc

No changes at the break from Farke. #lufc

Forest have created far more than Leeds, even if the possession has been 50-50, they just haven't had the quality or final ball to punish United. Leeds scored with their only attempt of the half. They are looking fairly solid in their defensive shape. #lufc

Dreadful attempt by Longstaff to take a short free-kick gives the ball straight to Ndoye, but he recovers with a big tackle. #lufc

Leeds with a couple of minutes of unbroken possession and then Okafor passes it directly to Gibbs-White in the away half. Forest counter, Farke fumes and Okafor chases. Gibbs-White seemed to spoon the ball away, but Okafor collided with him to make amends and gave away a free kick. #lufc
