I need to thank people who traveled for my dad's 100th birthday -- on October 4th. It's now November.
Because [ADHD], I now worry any thank you notes have to be twice as long, which makes me put off writing them.
What should I write so I can do this? (I need absolution)

I tell people a little sheepishly that it’s amazing having my kid out of the house but she came home last night with two friends and honestly I had the best sleep I’ve had since September.

Some of FB's suggested birthday greetings are just . . . odd. Have you ever wished someone "wishing you another incredible year of life"? -- this is like a Yom Kippur greeting, not a birthday wish.

I will never deny antisemitism.
But the people freaking out about Mamdani -- I know they have intergenerational trauma, but these are private school, straight-haired, dollars to donuts haven't had the IRL experience with antisemitism I've had. And they're panicking. Why?

My kid is Black, and dark, and neurodivergent, and the perfect storm for multiple pushouts, despite no instance of violence, ever. She has a ton of school trauma.
And it's hard, because with each successive pushout the previous school used the next one to say, "see?" But the pushouts created her.
