US spy satellites built by SpaceX send signals in the “wrong direction”

The SpaceX-built spy satellites are helping the NRO greatly expand its satellite surveillance capabilities
US spy satellites built by SpaceX send signals in the “wrong direction”
It seems US didn’t coordinate Starshield’s unusual spectrum use with other countries.

Tonight, Dwingeloo radio telescope will be featured in the musical piece "Le noir de l'étoile," which will be performed in Freiburg. We will transmit the ticking of pulsar B0329+54 live to the concert hall, where six percussionists will take over the pulsar's rhythm.

The better half has been lounging on the couch for about two days now, watching nothing but crime shows on the BBC. Given the number of murders in the series, you'd think there would be about 16,384 murder cases a day across the Channel. Where else do they get their inspiration?

Last year I was asked to pull an old radio out of a loft near here.
Turned out to be a HRO from WW2. It had a rusted away lethal power supply and a wooden speaker full of wood worm. I spent the morning building a PSU/Speaker for it from junk. Switched it on and it works after a fashion.

If you are a satellite operator and have not filed an objection against AST SpaceMobile's request to use 70cm, it's time to get busy. There's still time.

Don't just sit waiting for other organisations to do it on your behalf.

Can anyone help my ID the signal type & possibly ID of something that I received last night on approximately 6941 khz at 0308 UT.

It continued in this mode until 0512. UT.

I looked in signal wiki to see if I could determine what it was but couldn't find it exactly.

Another holiday. Every time a struggle... We have been on the road in France for 4 days now. Tonight we are at a beautiful spot on the Loire in Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire. It is now 32C, tonight something like 20C. So it will be nice here near the river.

Since Windows 10 support will be a thing of the past in a few months and no suitable PC for Windows 11 here I treated myself to an Acemagic Mini PC. Specs are roughly 3x better than the current PC in the shack. And the power consumption is something like 5x lower... 🤗
