Had a fun visit to the Greenham Common Control Tower today with the Bracknell ARC to visit the Newbury and District ARS.

Bracknell Amateur Radio Club will be joining the celebrations at the Farley Wood Community Center VE80 Celebrations this Sunday 4th May. The club will be operating a Special Event Station with the callsign GB6VE.

Today I fixed an intermittent PTT fault on my cheap Quansheng that I use in the car. It was caused by the hand mic plug not pushing in to the radio socket fully. Fixed with a penknife and no soldering required. ☺️

I've just watched the Centenary Message transmission from the Grimeton Transmitter Live, what an amazing machine! Unfortunately my SDR Receiver doesn't tune down to 17.1 Khz though :(
