A brief thought on my Blue Sky experience: this is not Twitter. Early Twitter was gloriously chaotic and often wonderful. X is an obvious dumpster fire. But the vibe here is focused and deliberately kind. I hope we can keep it this way.
Here is my symbol of 2025. This defiant coalition of snow, mud, grass, sticks and two mismatched gloves is not your classic snowman. But those who say he’s not pure or white enough fail to understand his power. He endures though all the snow around him has melted. And he is all of us.

They cancelled Late Night with Stephen Colbert due to “financial concerns”? Edward R. Murrow isn’t just rolling over in his grave; he’s screaming and crying over this harvest of shame.

I can’t believe that we may be sitting on the edge of WWIII with Trump and a car full of circus clowns running the government.

An article from the WSJ: The unintended consequences of Trump’s firing spree. It talked reduced services in national parks and services to veterans. But none of this is unintended! The resulting losses in education, consumer protection, scientific research, etc. are a feature, not a bug.

If making America great again requires you to pay more for everything, lose your retirement savings, work more for less pay, be unable to afford health insurance, become an indentured servant to the oligarchs, maybe you were better off with the no so great version.

So we’ve reached the moment where that junk heap of a man, RFK, sits in his confirmation hearing pretending he doesn’t oppose the measles vaccine. He wrote an entire about expounding his opposition, but that was then and this is now. A corrupt hypocrite.

Trump spending our tax dollars like they came from one of his donors.
Insanity: The deportation flights Trump used military jets for—that Mexico refused to accept—cost the U.S. up to $852,000 per flight to attempt to deport just 80 migrants at a time.

To compare, flights directly chartered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement cost just $8,577.
