The length and frequency of ads in Max’s ‘FreakyTales’ ruined my first time viewing experience of it and made me cancel the streaming service. I can’t help but wonder if the AI that placed the ads hates the Bay Area & the cast at large.

It's such a minor gripe but I can't stand when a platform buries your "continue watching" list 5 or 6 rows down, I would think intuitively that it should always be one of the first things you see when opening the app but I suppose that's too much to ask

I imagine even if his advisors are confident nothing would stick in court - JPMorgan Chase doesn’t want the negative association that would come from a long investigation
Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

House Bill 486 “Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act” passes in House & moves to OH Senate. This bill affirms “that the teaching of the historical, positive impact of religion on American history is consistent with the First Amendment.” OH’s separation of church and state for k-12 ed is being spit on!
yeah i think i feel safe saying that we have basically moved on from the whole charlie kirk thing. “hey remember when ohio state did an embarrassing memorial for that random dude” will be a funny thing we remember every now and then for the next 10 years and then it will be gone
this is the kind of thing where immediate reactions are going to be extremely hot but i kinda want to fast forward a week and see where we are at. we are pretty numb to violence as a culture, i don't think anything is going to necessarily accelerate because of this?

JD Vance's ideal America is a place with half the GDP where everyone with potential and options gets the fuck out, a shithole that people from countries with actual dynamism visit to watch chintzy 'traditional' dances before going home.

Job markets so bad I might enroll in an online hypnotherapy course, worm my way into the elites inner circle, then say -

“You want to build infrastructure so bad, you want a free railway system across America.”

*brass watch swaying side to side*

“You want -“

The lack of beautiful, fluffy snow in recent years is unfair. No one else is affected by this and the change in weather patterns is personally targeted against ME!

I wonder what kind of resurgence live theatre could have because of this. It’s not analog by any means, but seems to fit into people’s desire for something from decades prior. A more tactile, unplugged experience. It’d be cool to see theatre hit a strong run on local scales all across the country.
i think tech and ai positive people are going to be in for a big shock when anti tech and anti ai sentiment becomes a major part of leftwing politics going forward especially as datacenters continue to destroy communities and raise electricity bills
Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

The fact that asymptomatic Covid cases can lead to Long Covid IMO probably leads to more people attributing illness to vaccine complications than what could actually occurring, when the underlying problem could be a Covid infection.

It’s 2025, I wake up sweaty and dazed. I fall out of bed and rise to my feet with half a mind that I’m late.

“WHERE IS HE.”

My cat -previously enjoying the windowsill- startles in place at my voice.

I’m fully of a mind to maim a man or exorcise his memory from this earth.
