"if it [BBC] will not stand true for a truly radical concept: fearlessly impartial journalism, not fearful management of impartiality, then it will fade away."
Well worth a read.
Well worth a read.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

In these times of assault on decency and democracy by right wing, monied interests we should give thanks for two great British institutions: the British Broadcasting Corporation and the National Health Service. We need to defend them.

This was about Rumours.
Name other albums that meet this criteria.

After speaking out about a disgraceful investigation into alleged research misconduct by a colleague (ultimately exonerated) I was threatened several times by the lawyers acting for the University of Cambridge. Institutional bullying of the worst kind. I did not desist.
Defamation actions are terrifying and those who abuse the law know it.

If they only knew how to zoom in, they might just be able to make out the red poppy too....

The irony of his unpleasant epithet - sleepy Joe - for the previous incumbent is presumably lost on him and his fellow power brokers.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

The next time there is a budget, rather than thinking about what is in it for yourself, consider what is in it for others. And don't forget some government spending also benefits you.
only in the small print of this article do they make clear that the pensioners paying an extra £2,500 of tax would have to have
“earnings over £125,140”
I know many pensioners are asset rich but how many have income at that level?

My US H1B visa was/is up for renewal. The renewal had been approved. I had to fly back to UK (from Los Angeles) for a visa interview (at my own expense). Said interview was two questions. Where will you be working? Will you be teaching students? That was it. Was there any rationale?
