What Rosalind Franklin truly contributed to the discovery of DNA’s structure
Franklin was no victim in how the DNA double helix was solved. An overlooked letter and an unpublished news article, both written in 1953, reveal that she was an equal player.

Help, #MicroSky! We bought the Ausubel PA14NR transposon library, but half of the stock plates disappeared from a shared -80 and we've been unable to trace them 😭 Would anyone in the UK be willing to give us copies of these stocks please? I can supply proof purchase. And my eternal thanks.

There is a potential opportunity to get a PhD student funded internally, but I would need to find money to supplement the consumables over the 3 years. Has anyone been in this situation and how did you go about getting that extra funding? #microsky

Disappointing response from The Royal Society. Looks like I'll be looking for other funders to reject my grants in the future...

The current state of politics is in full view at the moment. Starmer is being criticised (by Labour, Tories and Reform) for appointing Mandelson as an ambassador for his link to Epistein while the same parties are happy to host and cosy up to Trump who has the same links. Make it make sense, please!

Is there anything more frustrating that speaking to a funder on an application, getting feedback to change to a specific focus, applying that feedback and then being rejected without going to review because "other applications are more explicitly focused on translational IPC".

Very annoyed.
