Roasting some cauliflower for a garlicky cauliflower and zatar soup. One of my daughter's recipes which she says is both simple and excellent! #foodsky

Desperate. Season over essentially. We can forget Europe if we can't beat average mid table teams, at home.

I dunno why I bother. No guile, no pace, no fucking ideas basically.

Jesus wept, penalty to Brentford now. Totally accidental hand ball from about two yards away. Ridiculous.

We're at sixes and sevens here. Maybe worse. Eights and nines 😂

Beautiful writing from Ned, as always.
Last night there was a vigil for the first cycling fatality of the year on London's streets. I was there. Here are some thoughts (no paywall).

If this strikes a chord with you, please comment on the post and share.

Nice bit on Donzoko on the Craft Beer Channel. Reece is a lovely bloke and a great brewer, and I'm very lucky to have this brewery/taproom literally at the bottom of my street 😋

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Good people of #blueskyfood do not bother with these. If that's Morrison's BEST, the rest must be absolute garbage, as these are wooly and virtually tasteless. Not even from Italy, and nearly 80p per tomato. FFS.

I've been going to Spain regularly for the last twenty something years, and I've never seen the like.

Well it may be a bit miserable at home, but thank god it isn't MINUS 20C like it's been in Gdansk! I must admit, it looks even more beautiful than usual with a dusting of snow and the river frozen over - but BRRRRRR 🥶🥶🥶!!!

I've just watched K Pop Demon Hunters on my daughter Molly's recommendation. It's a bit daft, but I loved it! Some great animation and really catchy tunes.

(I expect you to scoff, and that's fine 😄)

Febrero already! January usually drags, but it's flown by, and I've just picked up the new @alfredorfz calendar in Sevilla from @sevillatapas.bsky.social . This month it features one of my favourite bars in the city, the iconic Casa Morales 🇪🇸

Hola Cádiz! What's that, another storm coming? Batten down the hatches...

What a mad day of weather in Sevilla! Rain followed by wind, then baking hot sun. Had lunch outside then had to shelter from a full on thunder storm.

Anyway, today had plenty blue. #todaysblue

After an early storm, things are looking up. Today's blue is nervously showing itself above Sevilla 😃

No photos from Sevilla yesterday, as I left my phone in the apartment. Quite liberating really. Also, lovely to know a city so well that you don't need Google Maps to get where you want to be. 🇪🇸

Fascinating piece. Having been to Chernobyl and Pripyat, I'd love to go here and see how nature has taken over again.
The Fukushima towns frozen in time: nature has thrived since the nuclear disaster but what happens if humans return?
Fifteen years after a tsunami caused the Fukushima nuclear accident, only bears, raccoons and boar are seen on the streets. But the authorities and some locals want people to move back

On a bus charging through the endless miles of olive groves in Andalucía. The miracles of modern technology are streaming the Newcastle game to my phone - although on this showing, I'm not convinced I should've bothered...

Sunshine and showers in Málaga but mild enough to sit outside for lunch. These prawn and artichoke skewers were worth getting out of bed at 5am for! Bloody delicious.
