Another twitter exile - it was good in 2006 😊
Musician, foodie, web designer, love Spain 🇪🇸
I'm really glad I found this in the back of the cupboard, as my gaiters and spats are well overdue a dressing, let me tell you!

SAD lamp deployed. What a cold, grey, grim looking morning.

Pressure cooker lamb vindaloo. Going to the quiz in my local brewery @donzokobeer.bsky.social so I'm prepping supper for later. Smells amazing already!

I welcome every excuse to get the cheese and celery salt out. Absolutely perfect! And a nice little warm up before hitting Brussels next weekend 🍺

Had a sudden craving for cheese straws! First batch out of the oven are looking, and more important, tasting, very good.
I'm not much of a baker, but these are incredibly simple 🤤

I'm full of beans this week 🫘
Lunch today is my riff on a simple Tuscan bean soup, with focaccia from Northern Rye, my local artisan baker. And what a gorgeous day it is in NE6 - trees down my street looking fab on the autumn sunshine!

I've seen a lot of melty cheese on my feed the last couple of days, it's classic autumn comfort food. So I did pimped up pan fried cheese and ham toasties for lunch, with a cafetiere of strong black coffee. Perfect.

I bloody love Calatrava! Absolutely mad architecture but the world would be a poorer place without edifices like these. Just a few of hundreds of photos I've taken off the Valencia Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencias.

Delicious lunch yesterday at @mascalzonedelicaffe - fregola with mussels and clams. The house Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a decent drop too. I don't know why I've never been before, but I'll definitely be back!

And it's noviembre, as 2025 continues to hurtle past at an alarming rate! Some more lovely Sevilla tapas bars from the pen of @alfredorfz - and I'm hoping to get back there for one last time this year, later in the month. Probably just as it starts snowing at home 😀☀️

October, done. And we turn another page on the @lessons.research robot calendar. Another month that seems to have flown by...

Just arrived and can definitely recommend. Crunchy, tart and totally natural freeze dried pineapple and raspberry. Just about to dollop some Greek yoghurt and a sprinkling of nuts in the bowl.

Once again it's a beautiful morning on Tyneside and I'm sitting in the sunny garden with coffee and a bowl of yoghurt, fruit and nuts. My home office is north facing, so this boost of light really helps motivation through the darker months.

Bloody hell, it's dark at 5pm and Baileys is on special offer. It must be nearly Christmas!
October 27, 2025 at 5:18 PM
After yesterday's damp and gloom, it's glorious on Tyneside today! Taking my coffee in the garden while I decide what to do with the rest of the day 🔆

Apparently it's #worldtripeday so especially for @tripeuk.bsky.social here's a bowl of menudo (tripe and chorizo stew) from a recent visit to Taberna Zurbarán in Sevilla. I love the stuff 🤤

A friend gave me some allotment produce, so I made beetroot latkes. Bloody lovely, with horseradish creme fraiche and a scattering of blueberries.

Glorious day for a bit of non league football. Dunston hosting Bridlington under the autumn sunshine.

Moon over Sevilla taken with a Pixel 7 pro. Not bad.

Bastard windy, but very blue at home.

Last time I was on a ferry was across the Bosphorus to Asia! I doubt South Shields is that exotic 😀 #Tyne
October 4, 2025 at 2:11 PM
I made similar last week. Bay leaves and marjoram, just cos they're in the garden, but otherwise it's simplicity itself 🤤

Originally an office block, part of Terry Farrell's (RIP) PoMo East Quayside master plan, now the Dakota hotel, looms over the coloured beams of an exercise/play construction by the River Tyne.
