I welcome every excuse to get the cheese and celery salt out. Absolutely perfect! And a nice little warm up before hitting Brussels next weekend 🍺

I had a very decent lunch in there one rainy afternoon, a few years back. Enjoy 🤤

It looks like a bit of AI generated slop to me. But I already love sherry, so I'm not the target audience.

Love my pressure cooker! It's well into its 40s now, but comes out reliably every autumn and just needs a new rubber seal every 5 or 6 years. Gonna make a chicken casserole in it today, so there's something nourishing ready for when I get back from my post-work pint later 🤤

I guessed it would be! Molly lived in Hoxton, but ranged around Hackney Broadway, Mare Street, Dalston and Bethnal Green for shopping. It was a fantastic place to be based.
Looking at that recipe though, she suggests 20 minutes to cook dried favas. Maybe in pressure cooker; nearer an hour in a pan

Lebanese/Syrian grocer near me has bags of dried favas and tins of cooked ful medames, which I use when I'm in a hurry. I can also get zatar, dukkah, pickled lemons, harrisa - a cornucopia of goodies!
I'm pretty sure my daughter got them from Ridley Road market when she lived in East London.

Ful medames is god tier beans! The been dish I turn to most often. Often just with flatbread and some pickled red cabbage, sometimes with lamb koftas or some garlicky zatar chicken. Wonderful.

It's no secret that I love Spanish food, and I just made this yesterday. It turned out very much like the Judiones I'm so fond of in Sevilla. Perfecto!

I bloody love Calatrava! Absolutely mad architecture but the world would be a poorer place without edifices like these. Just a few of hundreds of photos I've taken off the Valencia Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencias.

It's nearly as bad as Mercat de la Boqueria in Barcelona. Totally ruined by those sorts! Sadly, I tend to avoid both as they're over crowded and over priced these days.
