A #Blacksky safety feature is nicknamed banned_from_tv.
For certain accounts reported to @blacksky.app we block them from even seeing the feed.

Accounts banned from tv see the following when trying to load any of the feeds. This is what the latest main character would see today.

Most legacy media outlets in North America are completely dominated by echo chambers of white people and men in power — to the exclusion of Black people and other types of racialized minorities.

These same folks calling Bluesky an echo chamber can kindly launch themselves into the sun.
Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

This era is strange because it is both socially/culturally regressive, yet technologically accelerationist.

Backward + forward at the same time. With human erasure being the goal.

I think those interested in cultural preservation, archival work— resisting erasure will be *especially* important.

Fourth, Republican conservative union buster anti-worker Ronald Reagan brutally brought back to America sweatshops, wage slaves, cubicle serfs, servants, slavery, lack of benefits for workers; and welfare only for the ruthless elite wealthy.

This!
BlueSky is filling a void that 35+ up been looking for. Social media should be a cool distraction. Not stressful and annoying. Folks wanna laugh and have healthy banter and wit and sarcasm. A feeling of community. Not all these bots and ads and weird ass algorithms and engagement farming

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

When I joined Bluesky last year, I couldn’t get anyone to take my invites! And after awhile, I was wondering if it would be any different than the 🐦. But shout out to the developers here that had a vision for a better experience online! I salute y’all! Seeing us come over here now is just gravy! 😊
