1. I was at Disneyland on Saturday, went out for bagels in Burbank on Sunday, and walked Sunset in Hollywood today. Drove the 101 (main road that goes through DTLA) multiple times. LA is fine. Actually, it's not fine, but "riots" aren't the reason.

I don't understand promoting the "promise" of an ACA vote as a win. That's embarrassing. It's like when my toddler says he'll go to sleep after one more song. At some point, I'm the dumb one for falling for it.

Get ready. Trump is going to get worse now. Much worse. The same playbook, just intensified. The elections were rigged, the polls must be watched, the ballots must be thrown out, only certain people should be allowed to vote, etc. It will get uglier and less American, if that is actually possible.

Anyone surprised by the Kentucky Secretary of State getting calls about the elections in other states is outing themselves as never having worked a customer service job.
Fascinated by the voters who are sufficiently civically engaged to both know that there are elections today and want to vote in them, but also not know that their own state does not in fact have elections today.

I love that Netflix has been testing out live voting for programming, and will be including it as a core feature of the upcoming Star Search reboot, where viewers will vote via their remote or mobile device.

Yes on 50. I'd love for redistricting to be done independently, as California has done the entire time I've lived here, but you have to take Trump at his word when he says he'll have a third term, and Christians "don't have to vote again" after electing him in 2024.
