People who say 'I mis-spoke' when they mean 'I lied' are just worst.

'Mis-speaking' is when I say chish and fips when I mean fish and chips, or when I cycle thorugh all the kids' name (and the dog) before landing on the correct name.

What Farage did was flat out lie.

"Nigel Farage says 'wibble'...'
Except in his case, wait until he's put the pencils up his nose then slam his face on the table.
Problem solved...
“Nigel Farage says….” has been the headline of the decade.
Look at what he does, ffs.
Look at his tax affairs.
Look at his grifting.
Look at his lies.
Look at his prejudice.
Look at his allies.
Look at his manifesto.
Look at his Brexit.
He is the embodiment of personal greed and national failure.

The people who banned journalists go to a different school.
Democrat @raskin.house.gov excoriates Nigel Farage for banning journalists from Reform UK events:

"I'm asking you a direct question. Why do you ban journalists who oppose your views from coming to your events? Why did you tell local government not to do interviews with your local newspaper?"

You can’t put a minimum income threshold for refugees if you have banned asylum seeking people from working. You can’t expect kids fleeing a warzone to have school level English.

And none of this will “stop the boats.”

You need safe routes.

Honestly, they can’t find anyway to defend this.
