I used to love CBS. Fred Friendly was the reason I became a broadcast major & worked in public television. I started to lose faith in CBS when Westinghouse bought it, but now with the Ellison's running CBS, it is a TV Network I no longer watch. Bari Weiss doesn't care. Her audience is Fox.

While I appreciate suggestions of 1-day boycotts, I'm reminded the successful Montgomery Bus Boycott to end segregation on local buses took 381 days from Dec 5, 1955 to Dec 20, 1956. It was impossibly hard for the people who needed transportation. You need that level of commitment to effect change.

Today’s retreat is absolutely an attempt to take pressure off of Congress to rein in ICE so that a funding package can get through.

Even when they show signs of weakness or forced regret, we must not give an inch. Authoritarian governments still respond to public opinion, which is why sustained pressure matters. We have to keep making clear that these thuggish actions are unconscionable and will not be tolerated. Don’t let up.

So I just learned that Enterprise is renting vehicles to ICE. I infer ICE has a contract with Enterprise. I hope that you will consider that, regardless how competitive Enterprise charges might be, when you next rent a cat. Personally, hell will freeze over before I next use Enterprise.
