I'm Danny Anduza — dinosaur worker, field paleontologist, and full-time science communicator. I'll be posting all kinds of fossil-related content, from field photos to livestream clips to 3D prints. It's so great to be here!

The crested dinosaur Parasaurolophus, as it may have appeared when hit with UV light. The fluorescent body parts indicate areas of thickened keratin, which is especially reflective of UV light, even in species that cannot see UV wavelengths. The fluorescent fungi are just fluorescent fungi.

Happy #FossilFriday! Here's an *enormous* ichthyosaur skull from the Triassic of Nevada, USA. This one might be a new species?

I was lucky enough to see this at an awesome temporary ichthyosaur exhibit at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno a couple months ago. Highly recommended

Here's a dinosaur footprint I found on the beach at the Isle of Wight last month. The tridactyl, rounded shape indicates it's likely a big ornithopod, similar to Iguanodon

For #FossilFriday, let's look at the life-sized models that Celeste Carballo and Jason Brougham made for the Impact exhibit at AMNH.

The big Hell Creek diorama features Triceratops, Trierarchuncus, Didelphodon, Mesodma, Basilemys, and enantiornithines.
