Not only can states prosecute felonious federal officials, it is a tactic that has been championed by some on the right, as I discuss here.
States can step into the breach
Just because Pam Bondi won't hold Trump's thugs accountable doesn't mean they're above all laws.

yeah the NZ purple fungus thing seems like further support for "the colors of color-blind ecosystems can't be used as a proxy for the colors of color-seeing ecosystems"

Reiterating: for highways especially vehicle blockage would be much more effective than human blockage.
Seems like it should be a really good protest tactic. Nonviolently shut down the highways. But it doesn't actually seem to work. I think it's bc it relies purely on drivers not murdering a few people. Much more effective if people left their cars, or trucks parked diagonally for the same effect.

I keep not buying books by him bc I refuse to call some guy “Lord”.

I’m *this* close to printing my own copy with his whole name on the cover. (P sure he’s public domain.)
Few would recognize the name Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, but many more know him by his title, Lord Dunsany.

Dunsany created an impressive literary body of work, penning dozens of novels and plays and hundreds of short stories.

Yeah hunting is aging as a hobby. It’s expensive and young people are less interested overall. In the near future we’re gonna need to pay a few full-time state hunters with pensions to do their freakin dream job.
In most suburban areas of the east coast, deer hunters are not making anything like enough of a dent in the population. Amateurs can't be firing rifles in built-up areas. We have to spend hundreds of thousands on professionals to shoot deer every year.

Clearly fake bc it runs afoul of the “it’s not illegal to be God” precedents from Joseph Smith-era upstate NY that religious claims mostly aren’t prosecutable for fraud.
My wife shared this with me and I’m tellin you… it’s worth the read.

Guy who’s really into Ancient Rome because it was just and humane
119. The Greeks and Romans are vastly overrated. They had a few good writers and philosophers, but their civilizations were monumentally unjust and cruel.

Honestly I’m not sure I’ve ever heard someone actively defend this model. I usually only hear it as an opposing view to someone else’s argument.
The blitzkrieg notion of the late Pleistocene extinctions — where humans massively overwhelmed naive faunas — has been limping along for a while, but I think it’s pretty clear at this point that it’s largely cooked
