4th Year BSc Architecture student at the University of Bath and a bit of a flaneur. Interested in sustainable design and C20 styles.
If, hypothetically, someone was going to Dublin for a few days at the end of the month, what C20 buildings are worth visiting?

Found it quite hard to find anything online about this library - not even featured in the practice's own online archive! I'd love to know more about the design if anyone on here knows anything. #architecture

‼️Anyone currently studying architecture should take advantage of this short Passivhaus course! I took it last year and definitely came in handy when I got to work on a Passivhaus on placement.

NEWS // ‘The Brutalist church above a Tesco’: Broadmead Baptist Church in Bristol has been Grade II listed, thanks to support from C20 Society.
Designed by architect Ronald H Sims and built 1967-69, its a highly unusual example of post-war church architecture.

What circular, super-low carbon architecture looks like.

➡️ Reused concrete flooring.
➡️ Spruce structure constructed without glue, or nails.
➡️ Cork facade and rammed earth partitions.

Feels strange having an event as climactic as the Architecture and Civil Engineering Ball less than halfway through final year, but also a fitting conclusion to my final group project at Bath! @uniofbath.bsky.social #architecture

Never forget, it doesn’t take much to add some smiles and surprises to your city. Just a civic culture of fun and creativity, or at least a culture of not getting in the way of fun and creativity. Is that YOUR city?

More of this. #CityOfSmiles #FunCity

Did you know there is a commemorative manhole cover in Whitechapel celebrating the defeat of the 2017 fatberg?

To find it: head west out of the station along the north side of the High Street, it's by the pedestrian crossing in-line with the far end of the hospital opposite.

Does anyone know the artist behind this jazzy version of what I think is "We Three Kings"? I've been listening to this little snippet on repeat 🎄

I'm hoping if enough people repost we'll find someone who knows it!
