It's bad enough when these folks can't rise to meet the moment when it's so important, but it's 100x worse when their opposition keeps serving them opportunities on a silver platter yet they're too incompetent, too cowardly & too self-centered to do the right thing.

Haven't played the HD version but my memory of the original was, motion control complaints aside, there were lots of little annoyances that I was able to get past but still seemed weird to see in a game with this pedigree. Stuff like "different buttons to put away items vs your sword." Why do that?

Using a combination of glitches in Super Mario World, Yoshi can be taken into the final battle, where he can eat Peach upon Bowser's defeat. With Peach gone, the ending will not play, and Mario and Yoshi will simply stare at each other forever.
