I cannot tell you how UNBELIEVABLY excited I am to be working on Daniel Pollack-Pelzner's extraordinary authorised biography of Lin-Manuel Miranda this September. Books and theatre are my two great loves, and I've been an LMM superfan for years. THRILLED!

I’m personally all for (All Four?) the ‘new midlife crisis novel’ if only because I can’t take another ‘messy woman in her late 20s’ novel.

Judgy kids, road-trips and ‘epic scenes of female masturbation’: welcome to the new midlife crisis novel

Third book on the Women’s Prize for Fiction longlist finished. I hadn’t heard of Amma by Saraid de Silva before the prize and I hope this brings her work to more people. Really enjoyed this despite being slightly weary of the “three generations of women” structure in general.

Delighted to share that we are shortlisted for the 2025 Independent Publisher of the Year. 🎉 To have this coincide with our 25th year is the cherry on top of our birthday cake... and we're just getting started! A big thanks to all our partners, staff and importantly our amazing authors. #Nibbies

I'm unbelievably proud of my @atlanticbooks.bsky.social colleagues this morning. Shortlistees for Marketing Strategy of the Year and Editor of the Year, and then to top it all, we are shortlisted for Independent Publisher of the Year. Gaun yerself, Atlantic pals.
The trade awards reflect the breadth of the book business with stars from sales, design, editing, rights, agenting, marketing, bookselling, librarianship and publicity all recognised across the shortlists, says Philip Jones.

Hot proof alert: Vera, or Faith, the new novel by Gary Shteyngart is out @atlanticbooks.bsky.social in August. Reviewers/booksellers/librarians hmu. Karen Russell says it’s “a novel that you can read in one sitting that will stay with you forever.”

I have become one of those people who has a Substack. It's called In The Bookstacks and is, unsurprisingly, about books (and theatre and culture and... stuff). I'm starting strong with the fact that I'm reading the whole Women's Prize for Fiction longlist.

This is a niche publicist moan but honestly, the hours of my life I have lost in trying to track down accurate contact details to pitch authors to podcasts.
