sidenote, doing those calculations and realizing i get to actually be in a safe environment with people who haven't severely hurt me on less than 10% of days each year is uh.

I've seen parents with kids drop what they're doing to join a march against the invasion of Venezuela, and shopkeepers intercepting ICE agents with broomsticks. I've seen liberals fail to co-opt the radical goals of the people where they would have easily succeeded 10 years ago. Things are changing.

A bit of Revolutionary Optimism from an organizing veteran: more and more people are waking up, and have been for years. Radical resistance to ICE/cops/imperialism is more widespread than in 2020, which was more widespread than 2013, which was more than 2011, etc. I've seen it change on the ground.
