I've written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage, urging them to join me in condemning Elon Musk's dangerous remarks inciting violence yesterday.

As leaders, we must stand together and make clear Musk will face serious consequences for these actions.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

We are pleased to see Cllr Dylan Tippetts who resigned from Labour last week over their stance on trans rights, joined the Liberal Democrats

Sarah Olney just showed why Liberal Democrats will (on average at least) always be the most competent people you can elect on any level of government. Reform show complete ignorance on basic facts of council funding, while the Lib Dems have all the facts. #localelections #bbclocalelection

And it's a double 17% for Lib Dems as on @newsagents.bsky.social podcast, @luketryl.bsky.social has said his poll tomorrow has Lib Dems also on 17%.

That is highest score with More in Common since they started polling in the last Parliament.

aka BEST LIB DEM SCORE SINCE DINOSAURS ROAMED THE EARTH
Lib Dems on highest poll rating with YouGov since before 2019 election:

Lab 24, Ref 23, Con 22, Lib Dem 17, Green 9

I never thought I’d say this before last week, but this actually makes me feel really sorry for Starmer… He does something genuinely impressive for the first time in his premiership, and his own ambassador just erases it and completely embarrasses his government and his party.

It was a great pleasure to host @claireyoungmp.bsky.social last night here in Bristol!

She addressed many concerns of young voters (mostly non-LibDem!) from housing crisis to party policy to Britain’s NIMBYism question - she even stayed an extra hour to answer more Qs than scheduled🧡 (1/2)

I honestly think that by giving us #breturn, Donald Tusk has given the pro-EU movement a chance to look forward rather than back. Telling people that you want to Return sounds far more exciting than saying that you wished we ‘Remained’.
Donald Tusk: "I am aware this is a dream: that instead of a #Brexit, we will have a #Breturn. Perhaps I am labouring under an illusion. But I'd rather be an optimist and harbour these dreams in my heart. Sometimes they come true in politics." ~AA

Really hope that Western states get back to fully supporting the SDF after the upheaval in Syria - the fall of Assad is amazing, but HTS are sending mixed signals. The SDF aren’t perfect, but they’re still by far the most likely to lead for all the Syrian people, rather than one sect or religion.

If anyone ever needs another cautionary tale in calling an election, this is one. Just a few hours ago the liberal candidate Elena Lasconi was predicted to get second place and progress to the runoffs, with the far-right in fourth. Unless something drastically changes, those polls were wrong…
Romania: With 77.8% of the votes counted, far-right independent candidate Călin Georgescu (*) has taken the lead, holding a 50,000-vote advantage over Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu (PSD-S&D).

There seems to be a perception that Labour and the Greens are the parties of young people - it is true they got most of the 18-25 vote - but we certainly aren’t offering a bad deal for students in the Lib Dems either. You could even say it’s a pretty ‘fair’ deal 😅

🔶Will give higher education institutions a statutory duty of care to students
