Especially important with the reported SNA attacks in the north, and the news that HTS is seizing territory from them. The settlement for a new Syria being decided by Islamists, Russians (they still have their coastal bases) and Erdogan isn’t in Syria’s interests, or that of any free nation.

Looks like it will actually be Lasconi in second place, but fighting the far right instead of the ex-communist social democrats. It’ll be interesting to see if this impacts the upcoming parliamentary elections held between this and the second round of presidential voting.
