Heading into 2026 waiting for news on so many things- will the agent that asked for my manuscript pick me up? Will I get into my first choice law school? What about those companies I am talking to about gigs?

Come on universe I’ve been busting my ass…

I don't know how many times it needs to be said that you absolutely should not let fucking "AI" anywhere near your legal contracts, either in creating them or evaluating them, but apparently it needs to be said at least one more time, so allow me to say it again, here, right now

Every year we spend the holidays at the beach. Shocking no one being by the ocean is my happy place.

The entire movie.

And please also, AGAIN, never forget that they are inherently unethical to use because no one gave permission for their research or writing to be used in it. It is all stolen, and if you're using the plagiarism machine, please keep that in mind.
My friends, I say this with all the love in my heart: Right now might not be the moment for “But we should be TOLERANT and NUANCED about the plagiarism machines!”

Your tolerance and “nuance” will be weaponised by the grifters and their apologists. Please respect yourselves more.

Good.

Cause guess what while they wrote that new policy? They didn’t fix the problematic one
Breaking news: At least two senators have placed holds on the nomination of Adm. Kevin Lunday to serve as the Coast Guard’s commandant after the service downgraded the definition of swastikas and nooses from hate symbols to “potentially divisive.”
Senators freeze Coast Guard admiral’s promotion over swastika, noose policy
Adm. Kevin Lunday had condemned both symbols and directed they be prohibited, but a new workplace harassment policy downgrading them to “potentially divisive” was allowed to take effect.

The reason you force impeachment votes in the Congress is you find out who are the ones that actually care even a bit and the ones who are traitors.

That Pelosi is still dismissing impeachment even after multiple extremely strong articles have been introduced tells you who she is.

Love this!!! 💙💙💙
The Museum is doing Goose Lights again this year, decorating some of our artifacts in Christmas lights, which is always fun for the holidays.
I especially love that our G-21 Goose has the Coast Guard banner in lights to match its retro USCG livery :-)

Saw Not Without Hope yesterday, I was really glad the theater was pretty much empty for how often I was flipping off the screen.

Even for someone not in the Coast Guard, it was a bad movie just ask @thevowel.bsky.social

But buckle up because I was taking notes on all the things that got wrong

This is probably BS, but it misses the point anyway.

I get statements from DHS all the time about “serious offenders” being deported, and it’s like a middle-aged mom of four whose small town loves her but she messed up once and got a theft conviction when she was 19.

This is a poor piece of reporting that is cosplaying as a good piece of reporting. So many sources! Two experts, even! Right?!

Nope. You've got three anecdoal accounts from people who agree with the headline's premise, a look at a subreddit for people trying to quit, and two tiny expert quotes.
Daily cannabis use has surged in the U.S., fueled by ultra-potent vapes and concentrates. Doctors warn that while cannabis can help some people, the strongest products can blur the line between therapy and dependence in ways earlier generations never saw.
They relied on marijuana to get through the day. But then days felt impossible without it
As daily cannabis use rises to historic levels in the U.S., some longtime users are finding it harder to quit.

Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.
