… and The Onion had no choice but to admit it was bested by reality and shut down.
The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

Definitely read @everjay.bsky.social's new article, "Deconstructing Conceptions of Rigor in Computer Science Education." It examines the many conflicting (and often problematic) ideas about the concept, especially between students, K-12 teachers, and higher education. dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...

TurboTax makers Intuit have lobbied the government for years to block free public tax-filing.

Now Trump has terminated the free IRS Direct File program, nearly a year after Intuit gave his inauguration $1M.

Every race. It’s basically been every race.

Governors. Mayors. Long-held GOP dog-catchers. School boards. Water boards. Flipped a dungeon master in a rural Iowa D&D club. State senators. State reps. A janitor in Duluth. State justices. Three GOP Uber drivers.

Just everything.

Back in Trump 1, somebody on Twitter said, "Wait... you mean this whole time the government has been operating on the honor system?"

To which I, a Fake Constitutional scholar, said: Yes!

Here's an explanation of why what the framers did in fact call "honor" is essential:

Effect of tariffs I've seen

— Higher clothing prices overall
— Overseas sellers covering tariff costs, but passing cost to the consumer
— US stores dropping brands. Example: No Man Walks Alone won't be carrying Norbit this fall bc tariff uncertainty
— Fewer deals. Ebay shuts down overseas sellers

I may be too much of an optimist but I am so happy every time I see dems overperforming (v 2024) in these Iowa special elections. It gives me real hope that we can turn the ship around in Iowa and nationally.
DREY BREAKS SUPERMAJORITY - Democrat Catelin Drey wins special election for Sioux City seat in Iowa Senate. That puts the Iowa Senate’s split is 33-17.

Tonight, Republicans lost their supermajority in the Iowa Senate.
