He’s right. These are the same people who respond to stuff from the Style section with “Oh so this is the most important thing happening now??” It’s a kind of illiteracy. imo
"fuck the nyt reporter"? Why? This piece has biting criticisms of its subject, with details ("like a ragged prayer") that expose it as hollow and ridiculous. Do you only want journalists to tell you about virtuous things of which you approve? (Obviously this is close to home.)
fuck this lady, fuck the nyt reporter, fuck all of this. fuck amazon for introducing the KU page read model that makes this possible, fuck our tech overlords.

I don’t think a lot of the people responding to this understand that the New York Times publishes hate reads. The article is clearly trying to make her look like a stupid grifter

I follow a subreddit for haters of this one true crime podcast and someone posted “is anyone else tired of them saying Fuck ICE at the start of *every episode* now?” and got so many replies saying “What the hell? No, fuck ICE” that they deleted it. Must be lonely, being wrong

We are a society of constant violence at schools—everything from ICE kidnappings to shootings—and these filthy maggots who send their kids to private schools not covered by the bill want to pretend they care about education while doing nothing except preventing my kids from being able to contact me.
One of the high schools I teach at has these benches the students are allowed to spray paint. This is not a “the kids are alright” post, I have a lot of anecdotal evidence to the contrary, I just enjoy when other people hate the goons like I hate the goons.

If this were true he would have shuttered it ten years ago. He’s doing this now because he has billionaire brain damage and it makes sense to him in a way we can’t access because we don’t get kicked in the head by a horse every day
Bezos isn't destroying the Washington Post because it isn't profitable. He's destroying the Washington Post because he's calculated that a robust free press threatens the ability of his class to warp society around their interests

Students throwing up their hands and mouthing What?? to each other when I announce that absences for school activities and college-visiting trips are not "excused absences:" We're going to have a big semester, together. A big adventure

According to the finances-managing half of my marriage, the amount of money we’re saving by not eating out is “shocking” at the “Oh my God” level. I don’t need exact numbers really, this will do for me
