sigh. My career would be very different had I not been in regular collaboration with people in ozlabs and the opportunity to work with them again was a big reason I rejoined IBM for a while.

When cartoon characters discuss numbers in base ten rather than base eight, it takes me completely out of my suspension of disbelief. Their society would not have developed that way.

Starting a Generation Kill rewatch after signing up for the cheapest HBO Max tier and the first ad break was so jarring I just turned it off. Don't know if I can get used to it.
