Did you know ICE agents get only 47 days of training before they’re handed a gun and sent out into American streets?

Why 47? In honor of Trump being the 47th President, of course.

Congress must stop funding ICE and rein in this rogue agency.

Ring’s Super Bowl ad exposed a scary truth: the technology in its doorbell cameras could be used to hunt down a lost pet...or a person. Americans oppose this creepy surveillance state. Amazon must discontinue its dystopian monitoring features.

Republicans' election bill is Jim Crow voter suppression.

It would disenfranchise millions of voters, silence your voices, & dilute our electoral power.

And that's exactly why I voted NO.

When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.

Brad Lander: To build a just and safe future for Israelis and Palestinians, and to move toward a US foreign policy that aligns with our principles and our interests, it’s time to block the bombs.

Thank you to a generation of "savvy" Dem strategists for repeating over and again that talking about race is "divisive" thus handing voters earphones where unrelenting racism - generally via dog whistles - is blasted in one ear and the other plays silence, or economic pablum.
Current state of Republican Party politics: The president posted an image of the first black president and First Lady as apes; no one at the White House will publicly say that is not appropriate; the most likely person to face consequences is the party’s sole black senator — for calling it “racist.”

This is unconscionable.
