I have switched my Thanksgiving plan from 'make a pumpkin pie from scratch' to 'make a pumpkin pie from scratch minus the canned pumpkin' because pumpkin guts have a texture that makes my skeleton try to run away from my skin.

I really like this year's holidsy Coke flavor. It's more the cream soda type vanilla, than the regular vanilla Coke type of vanilla. Very enjoyable!

The ending was a let down, but there was a nice twist that took away some of the sting. Overall, I'm not big on Biblical angels and demons stories, so it says a lot how much this novel kept me engaged. 3.5/5

I'm about to pick up a manuscript I dropped for awhile. I paused because it felt like the story was losing its way. So off to reread it from the start, try to refuse the urge to edit before the rough draft is even done, and hopefully put this one to bed.
