Disaster and hazard historian, but I like it all. Climate, hazards, society, and infrastructure. Natural & human made.
Always up for talking about cats, books, office supplies, reality tv, true crime, and pop culture.
New England Girl always! 💕
Well that wasn’t fun.

I hope a historian of Puerto Rico breaks down all the symbolism in that halftime show because I am so curious!

Have no idea what is being said but I am LOVING this halftime show. So amazing!!!!

Did I see Pedro Pascal dancing on the porch during Bad Bunny’s halftime show or am I seeing things?

I like the Pepsi commercial. But the Dunkin commercial wins. Nothing will beat the Dunkin commercial.

NBC 10 WJAR in Providence is reporting that the Castle Hill Inn in Newport is on fire.
I’m gutted to hear this news. I lived in Newport for 8 years and spent some time working in this absolutely gorgeous building.
Such an important part of Newport.

I don't say this often but: I'm so proud to be a climate and environment reporter. We cover an issue that is vitally important to humanity and the natural world. 14 of my climate colleagues at the Post were laid off today and I'm devastated.

I’m 300 pages into a book and just realized I’ve been reading one of the main locations wrong. My brain just autocorrected to what I thought it should be.

all of a sudden craving the biscuits out of a can (not buttermilk or the fancy ones but the OG biscuits in a can that had a unique taste) with jelly and butter.

No idea where this craving came from. I’ve been gluten free for 20 years, it’s been a long long time since I’ve had those biscuits lol

It worries me a little that January went so quickly. Usually it feels like a whole year in itself. What does this mean for the rest of the year 👀

It’s very very cold where I live. For going on a week. The snow and sleet we’ve received are essentially concrete at this point.
And my very new HVAC system is struggling. Letting me know by vibrating through the entire house. And I’m going to lose my mind.
