One of the ways your racism is manifesting as a white person that you probably don't notice is that you have horrible manners with Black people. You have a terrible attitude when you meet real Black people. You don't say excuse me & can barely look them in the eye. That's over 80% of white people.

I’ve gained 30-40 lbs this year and it’s a lot to take in. I think I can still proud of myself though for how my relationship with food is possibly at its healthiest. Now it’s just time to adjust *when* I eat not so much *what* I eat. What a strange thing.

I made less than $14/hr working as a counselor with a degree+experience in a drug and alcohol rehab. Sometimes it’s was one counselor responsible for keeping track of ~50 patients because we were short staffed. Healthcare workers are so under appreciated and poorly compensated.

Kaitlin I’ve been following you for a while and I appreciate so much of what you share. I do think you can validate the trauma and specific pain asexual folk go through while acknowledging trans siblings might experience this more. It doesn’t negate your pain!! /gen
Asexual people are more likely to be raped and inflicted with conversion therapy than other LGBT identities because the general public doesn't want to believe that not everyone has an easy time being attracted to people.

I think it's one in a line of kidlit books that's inspired by "The Bluest Eye", but like "(S)Kin" by Ibi Zoboi, gets it very wrong.
