Oh. My. God. Sarah Kendzior commented four weeks ago on that article on Johnny Cash with the weird "He can seem deeply uncool" subheading. So Bluesky waited a month, then suspended her for it.
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

Any updates about this case? How close are we getting to this threshold? I see lots of folks on here asking for explanations about what is happening and why Sarah Kendzior was banned. We're talking about a well-known writer and journalist here.
We usually do that in response to media requests once they hit that threshold. I’ll try not to weigh in here, since that’s still details of an individual case. An interesting topic for a separate write up though, without discussing case specifics.

If I was conspiracy-minded, I'd note that @safety.bsky.app banned Sarah Kendzior, one of the best writers on Epstein and the corruption surrounding him, right before the Times ran their story today, and she's still inexplicably banned. I don't think it's an actual conspiracy, but it's shitty anyway.
