Need the Nick Castellanos trade to hit so I know how much money we got to spend

Nova started the year ranked #50 on KenPom. They are up to #37 after 5 games. More importantly, they were 7th in the Big East pre-season poll and KenPom now has them 3rd. Bryce Lindsey looks like a steal and other young guys playing well and playing hard. Good start for Kevin Willard.

I see the Raptors have unlocked the secret formula to winning in today's NBA: all your players actually play in the games

I would very very much like the Phillies to trade for Wilyer Abreu

Andre Drummond has been in the league 14 seasons. He's led the league in rebounding 4 times. His career 22.7 rebounds per 100 possessions is the NBA record since they started tracking (at least the 1970s).

He is only at 46% of Wilt Chamberlain's career rebound record.

This is, by far, the NBAs biggest issue (availability of stars) and best I can tell they are doing absolutely nothing about it
It’s inescapable. The NBA game has developed to the point where not even NBA players (who are genuinely superhuman) can consistently keep up with the physical demands without breaking down.
Steve Kerr said he’s “concerned” about the increase in soft tissue injuries across the NBA. His medical staff believes the increased pace paired with the schedule has led to it.

“They believe the wear and tear, the speed, the pace, the mileage is factoring into these injuries.”

So if/when Trump releases obviously over-redacted and/or incomplete files -- is there someone who knows what's in them who will call this out/fill in the gaps.

I mean, this isn't just one pile of papers somewhere -- multiple people have to have access/copies -- RIGHT?
The “Epstein Files Transparency Act” passes the House via a nearly unanimous vote of 427-1.

Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana is the single holdout

Over/Under 0.5 games the Sixers play this year with the following players playing healthy and w/o restrictions...

Notes from Passan's off-season article

-TOR favorite for Tucker is surprising
-Expect Schwarber at 5/150
- Mentions Phils in passing for Bichette (at 2B or 3B)
- also has us "lurking" for Bregman
- think Realmuto is 2 yr deal
- We are trying to trade Casty
- Lots of OF available to trade for

this is not a sustainable business model
The Sixers have already tied the NBA record for most wins in a season (4) when trailing by 10+ points entering the 4th quarter. 🤯

Sixers play Bucks twice in the next 2 1/2 weeks, so a 3-week injury would be great. Thanks G!
aaaaaaand Giannis just came up from a fall after getting hammered on a drive clearly hampered, grabbing at his left groin, committed a foul, and walked straight to the locker room

If I were a Mavs fan I would NEVER shut up about Luka. Don’t care who you fire or how good you get. NEVER.
The men in charge of the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Dončić caused the saga to escalate to a full-on crisis that tore at the fabric connecting the team to its fans.

There is a lesson that teams in every professional sport can take from this saga:

Listen to the fans.

it is almost as if accommodating and conceding to far right ideas legitimizes them and signals to voters that the far right is a legitimate choice for governance
The Danish Social Democrats are currently on course for their worst election result since at least the Second World War, despite their brand of far-right accommodationism being touted as a blueprint for other centre-left parties.

That’s better
James Harden playing the entire 1st quarter on the 2nd half of a back-to-back and scoring 17 pts fills me with so much rage for so many reasons.

One of those reasons is NOT that I’m worried he will actually do it in a game that matters.

In a world where there is never-ending access to highlights and game tape, it is inexplicable that defenders do not know to keep their hands back when guarding James Harden in isolation.

Every time the Sixers get it close they make the worst play possible on offense and then give up an open 3 or avoidable and-1 on the other end.

Sixers actively trying to lose this game. Awful performance.
