A collective holding of breath as Stephen Gogolev’s lace of his skate started to unwind during the performance

He told me just now he became aware of the loose lace about halfway through the program

And then he told me he thought “this isn’t good”. A strong performance nonetheless

The Last Fifteen Minutes film Kickstarter is still open for late pledges. We're a union shoot and doing things like "paying health insurance benefits for our non-SAG actors who can't even claim it"! I'm very pro-union, but praxis is costing us a lot of money! www.kickstarter.com/projects/shi...

I’m being told Skate Canada will be providing an update on figure skater Deanna Stellato-Dudek tomorrow.

She was injured in a training accident days before she was meant to compete at her first Olympics

We’ll learn tomorrow whether or not she’ll be in Milano for the Pairs event

BRONZE FOR CANADA 🇨🇦

Megan Oldham, from Parry Sound, wins bronze for Canada in the women’s slopestyle event.

It’s her first Olympic medal in her second Games. And how about this, four years ago she missed qualifying for the final by one spot. Now she’s on the podium.

I am thrilled for the artistic and business success of Heated Rivalry. I hope it leads to increases in CanCon funding for Canadian film & TV projects because right now we live in one of the most risk averse funding regimes in the world. It's a miracle any show gets made.
The show now averages 8m American viewers per episode. A third of them rewatch episodes; 15% have watched five times or more

If you are too young to remember Surya, she was a fucking ICON. The only person in history to do a BACKFLIP with a SPLIT ON THE AIR, which she’d land ON ONE FOOT

Of course she wasn’t properly appreciated in her time because racism.

USA's Ilia Malinin just did a BACKFLIP in the short program.

If you're thinking - isn't the backflip banned? - didn't I read a whole thing involving French skater Surya Bonaly? - you are correct! But the backflip was UN-banned in 2024. So this is the first legal Olympic backflip since the reversal

Because she’s competing at the Olympics. Attached the press release for proof of participation.
