If you’re outside of Minnesota and you’re wondering how to help, this guide is excellent.

And seriously. Take down your Ring doorbell TODAY.
How To Help if You are Outside Minnesota

There has been an increasing sense in Minneapolis that we are on our own, that our elected representatives are unwilling and/or unable to take action to get these murderous Nazi thugs out of our community. I really hope that changes today. The time for pleading TV hits ended weeks ago.

Canadians need to do our part. Went to Sobeys today to pick up broccoli. Price sign stated product of Mexico/USA. Not being an expert in identifying which broccoli was grown in Mexico didn’t buy any! Sobey’s needs to clean this up, becoming too common! 🍁🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦

Today I'm remembering Philando Castile, shot in 2016 by police in the Minneapolis suburbs after being pulled over for a broken brake light. "Sir, I have to tell you that I do have a firearm on me," he said. Ten seconds later one of the cops had shot him five times. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing...

This has been my fear for a year now.

The CDN govt has no viable Plan B for its operations.

Not sure our banking system does either.

On an individual levels - which cloud holds your precious docs and photos?
U.S. tech companies will hit the wall soon. As it is now Europe has no other choice than to break free from them. That the White House sit on a kill switch for everything related to U.S. tech means that they can stop us dead in our tracks. That is of course not possible to accept.

I recommend not watching the videos, which are chaotic and gut-wrenching, and instead going through Bellingcat's analysis.

This man appeared to be zero threat, while the officers were overly-aggressive, agitated, and clearly primed to used lethal force.
Multiple federal agents can later be seen struggling with the man who is shot. One federal agent is seen approaching with empty hands, before reaching around the man’s waist.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

I randomly grabbed this book last night while straightening up my bedroom. When I opened it, I read and then reread and then read one more time this poem by Joy Harjo. I then sat, leaned back, and continued reading. Thank you for this book, @theferocity.bsky.social and @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social 🙏🏻

Two people who woke up the day they were murdered by ICE never imagined their life was about to end in a few hours. That is the real tragedy. Trump doesn't send ICE to Minneapolis, they'd be drinking their morning coffee and playing with their kids right now.

All of this is fucking senseless. Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs here because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames. None. Of. This. Was. Necessary.

Café. Looking up from my notebook to see two friends talking about yoga in a ping-y, fun conversation, when one picks up her phone casually, like to check the time or something, & then she goes quiet & hands it across the table, & then the friend goes quiet. & then I watch the news spread—a fire.

Someone asked how to help and I truly don't know rn.

Our local support networks are strong, we're all doing everything we can. We just want this occupation to end so kids can go to school and parents can go to work and we can all eat tacos and yell about the terrible local sports teams together.

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

I’ll start.

Call your reps. Call five friends to talk about what happened—be in solidarity with each other and use that solidarity to start building something bigger. Attend an ICE Watch training. Combat disinformation by sharing the truth.

Per this report ICE has detained several witnesses
ICE attempted to order local police from the scene of the Minneapolis shooting, but the police chief refused and instructed his officers to preserve the crime scene.
