Science is most definitely NOT OKAY.
It’s not okay that an 8% grant wasn’t funded due to payline suddenly moving to 4% mid-game. Laying off people is not okay. Unbearable increase in grant submissions is not okay. Tightened discretionary is not okay. None of this is ok.

Hey @aaas.org I am a member and Fellow and am appalled by that statement. The devastating impact on trainees and their fellowships, the anxiety all have felt, and the devastating cuts in some fields are just some examples. Perhaps you all could respond directly??
This is a HUGE win…and one that happened because we ~collectively~ said “NO!”
But AAAS coming in and saying on record to the NYT “Science is doing ok. Things are not bad at all…” is baffling.

We need to establish an acceptable proper timeline for the late 20th/early 21st C.
* 'Last year' = 2023-2025
* 'A couple of years ago' = after Lockdown
* 'A few years ago' = between 2004 and Lockdown
* 'About ten years ago' = 1994-2014

Yes and anyone propping up Hoeg at this point is a fool or worse.
A year ago, Tracy Hoeg was selling people unproven therapies (like injecting your own blood into your knees) for cash. She is trained in physical medicine & rehabilitation, & does not have any relevant background for this position other than being a prolific & extreme antivaxxer and disease promoter
I suspect FDA no longer has qualified people willing to do this job.

קמפיין מצוין של הרשות להגנת הפרטיות באירלנד. הבעיה הזאת ממש לא בלעדית לאירים או לאירופים. בישראל המצב כנראה גרוע יותר. הורים משתפים תמונות וסרטונים של ילדיהם בלי להבין את ההשלכות והסיכונים

אז, אם הורעלתם לכו לבית חולים, ואם אתם רוצים לשפר את הבריאות שלכם, או לשנות הרגלי תזונה, לכו לאנשי מקצוע אמיתיים ומפוקחים (כגון רופאות ותזונאים), ולא לנטורופתים או אנשים אחרים מהחלקים ה"טבעיים" של קופות החולים.
