Yesterday, I released my Economy for Everyone Agenda. We're going to take back our economy from the billionaires by passing national paid sick days, enshrining the right to organize, and ensuring that if you work 40 hours then you bring home at least $40k a year.

A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.
When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

I recorded Don Alias for Bill Frisell's album, "Unspeakable." That was, as you can imagine, a fantastic session.

Born this day, 1939: Percussionist Don Alias in NYC. Contributed congas and percussion to Miles' LPs 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙬 and 𝙊𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧, and played on the 1971 European tour. He also played drums on 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙬's 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻.
