BREAKING: The House passed a voter suppression bill called the SAVE Act.

The bill requires every voter to present an ID & a passport or original birth certificate to register to vote.

This will stop millions of Americans who don't have these documents on hand from voting.

We are facing a humanitarian crisis here. Each passing day we learn of new neighbors who haven’t left their homes and have fallen through the cracks. Lots of people aren’t connected to mutual aid networks. Just terrible suffering caused by the federal government.

The SAVE Act assumes you can register in person with special documents. But what about service members stationed overseas? Forcing military voters to appear in person to show papers means some who risk their lives for this country may lose their voice in it. #StopTheSaveAct

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

When people are afraid to go to work, afraid to shop, or afraid to gather in their community, it hurts families, neighborhoods, and our entire economy.

If you can, show up for a small business and let’s continue to show the nation what it means to respond with care and decency.

Data center developers and utilities can stop this onslaught of plans for new gas power plants and rely on affordable, available clean energy options instead, says Laurie Williams of @Sierraclub.org.
The Massive, Data Center-Driven Gas-Plant Buildout Threatens Affordability
When our utility companies fail to build enough low-cost clean electricity and instead increase their reliance on expensive fossil fuel power plants—as many are doing in response to data center demand—electricity prices rise.

You can, too:

✅ Go to city council meetings & SPEAK UP during open comment
✅ Call your state delegates — local + state pressure is our best bet. The Fed Gov won’t save us.
