I'm biased here because Jay helped me start the Short Fiction Book Club project, but the sheer breadth of his reviews has helped us find so many cool stories to share. Check out some of these samples in the thread-- he's a great Best Fan Writer pick.
Eligibility post:

I’m Hugo-eligible for Best Fan Writer for my blogging at Tar Vol On and work facilitating discussion for the Hugo Readalong and Short Fiction Book Club

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

MAGA influencers like Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk pretend Taylor Swift is turning into a tradwife, to manipulate their incel audiences.

In reality, her engagement to Travis Kelce reflects feminist values — and could even be called a feminist fantasy.

Screenwriting pro-tip: put a specific date in your script so that once a year the internet meme machine will promote your movie for free.
(It helps if the rest of your script is as brilliant as Hot Fuzz, Miss Congeniality, or Mean Girls)
