Before we start, I’ll make two things clear.
1. Black Lives Matter.
2. Trans men are men, trans women are women, and non-binary identities are valid.
Neither of these things are up for debate.

This weekend was full of joy and friendship, and at the same time utterly devastating. This planet has lost the kindest, brightest soul far too early. If there’s anything she taught me, it’s to please check your chests regularly folks, and tell people you love them. Make it weird.

Guess who didn’t sleep at all last night?
The good news is that she’s OK-ish. She has slightly elevated liver and kidney numbers, so I have steps to take to see what’s going on there, but it doesn’t seem to be anything immediate or life-threatening.

Great that my vet called me while I was cooking, but *just* after they closed, with my cat’s blood test results, so even though I tried to call back immediately, I couldn’t. Love to spend the next 14 hours wondering what “we’ll see how we go from there” means in relation to my tiny, 10 year old cat.

I’ve said it before, and no doubt I will say it again many, many times in the future, but man alive, I really, really miss Cassini.

A lot of comments on Mars rovers or Moon landings, but it's important to remember that the planet NASA studies most is Earth. This is less about cutting flashy things like moonwalks and more about keeping communities in the dark on climate, weather, agriculture, pollution, natural hazards, and more.

I prefer “anti-fascist“ for a host of reasons and this is a nice practical one.
I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.
