Had enough of the toxicity of social media! Going to spend time with family and friends who actually mean something to my life. Ta ta!
@skynewsrss.bsky.social leading with 2 stories about Farage on their app this morning. Why are the main stream media so focused on giving him and his tiny group of MPs much airtime? Totally disproportionate.

British farmers deserve a fair trade, not a raw deal. 🐄

We must not sell out our high farming standards for a Trump trade deal . Parliament must have a say.

His track record speaks for itself. While we continue to resist, we should take comfort in that he is deeply incompetent, not very bright & his policies are hurting even his most devoted supporters. Let's not get in the way of his inevitable self-destruction.

Really worrying that Keir Starmer wouldn't commit to a vote in Parliament on a Trump trade deal when I asked him just now.

If the government really thinks it's a good deal for Britain, what are they so afraid of?

Trump was elected to bring down prices. He's chosen to impose what is in effect a significant sales tax across a huge array of goods. Even if you buy the argument that over time it might help reindustrialise the US/raise significant revenue (a big if) it remains, well, brave.

Intrigued by this narrative that Britain has done well here.

-10% is still v significant.
-We're a big exporter of cars to the US which will be subject to 25%. Terrible for UK auto industry.
-Even if we get a deal we can't avoid the major economic shock to global trade overall.

Let's not forget that the Fag Ash Fuhrer and his Brexit Cabal chums are pals with Trump.Trump's tariffs will damage the UK economy and UK jobs may well be lost. Farage is not interested in the UK,only in his self promotion.
