The fundamental question of all exorcism movies is "what if a young woman was kind of gross and said a swear and refused to be polite to you no matter how much you yelled about god"

Please tell your kids, every damn day if necessary, that chatGPT is not a goddamn search engine and you shouldn’t believe a word it says. Tell the adults too, but it’s especially imperative to inoculate kids against this
Well this is grim

The thing about making Christmas gifts for people is I cannot post them for validation lest I spoil the surprise. But I want the validation to motivate me to finish the craft.

WE ALREADY FOUND OUT. THE STUDIES HAVE BEEN DONE. THERE IS NO LINK. ITS BEEN KNOWN FOR YEARS AND THE GUY WHO STARTED THIS MESS WAS DISCREDITED AND HAD HIS LICENSE REVOKED FOR IT.
Scientists have already investigated this. The result? The doctor pushing this junk science had his license revoked for spreading deadly lies about vaccines.

I’m trying to imagine the bubble of amoral corporate douchery you have to live in to think that saying “we guard against unnecessary care” is better than just shutting the fuck up.

the CEO of United Healthcare died and they started the investor meeting on time anyway.

He died thinking of claim denial percentages. Powerpoints. His contribution to society while denying claims to stage 4 cancer patients.

Work doesn't matter. Your contribution to humanity does. Remember that.

All jokes aside it's really fucked up to see so many people on here celebrating murder. No one here is the judge of who deserves to live or die. That's the job of the AI algorithm the insurance company designed to maximise profits on your health and no one else

perhaps the most cogent installment of the "I'm a famous person/athlete who got ME/CFS from covid" interview I've seen

love that he's done the reading, and that he draws the links between fatphobia/exercise supremacy, eugenics, and medical mistreatment of long covid

and flomasks! in the guardian!!
“As able-bodied person, you trust your doctor is going to steer ship if something pops up. if I were to wait for them & not be proactive, my health would have continued to decline”

"I genuinely believe we will succeed. I look forward to a kinder and more compassionate world that will view people like me as valid and worthy regardless of whatever challenges we are facing.
Lastly - whatever your stance on #Covid - don’t ever tell a chronically ill person they should die"
I’ve had a family member tell me that I’ve been sick for so long I should “die or get back to life”

As if being chronically ill is a choice (it’s not) and as if it’s acceptable to tell someone to “just die”

This is why assisted dying laws worry me. Our own families see us as better off dead:

People often talk about how traumatic Covid was & use that trauma as an excuse not to mask

Disabled people live with that trauma every day. We are painfully aware the threat hasn’t passed. We have to cope with knowing we would be the first people triaged OUT of healthcare or left by the wayside
