The threat of ICE has tons of people on high alert, the result is claims of ICE seen without firm or specific info people can actually use — & sometimes, no ICE at all.
It’s never “ICE spotted in Queens,” but “4 SUVs labeled DHS seen parked on 57th & 59th in Maspeth at 2:34pm.”

I get a bit irritated when I see “now they’re coming after disabled people?!” like we didn’t all see that clip in 2015.
They have ALWAYS been coming after disabled people. They use us to stoke fear, to delegitimize the agency of our own and other groups, as scapegoats, as bellwethers, as excuses.

Rule one: I cannot physically make myself smaller to thread through a crowd. Ergo, if said crowd wants to make sure I cannot participate all they have to do is not care and I'll get hit in the face a lot.
