For years, Americans have been watching scripted TV cop shows where the hero is the rogue cop that "doesn't play by the rules", or worse, "reality" shows like Cops, or Live PD. I wonder if these shows have had the effect of making ICE raids more acceptable to a large part of the population.

The fact that ultimately it doesn’t matter who is mayor because every big city is governed by a Troika of real estate developers, cops, and retirees who show up to every meeting to bitch really helps turn it into the kind of high school shit you’re talking about.

#NoKings I wanted to dress my dog up like a monarch somehow, put him in a wagon. I was going to be a peasant taking him to prison. It's too hot for him to pawticipate in the protest. It may be too dangerous, as well.
