I truly believe discourse about voters (especially those who may have voted for Trump) would go better on this app if everyone was using the spectrum of allies as a framework

Attia cultivating a relationship with Epstein is less shocking when you think about Attia's specific grift.

He sells medical exceptionalism to the rich. The scam is that class status can offer an escape from plebian mortality.

I always laugh at his book title: "Outlive"

Outlive WHO?

All of us.

Democracies are so strong that they allow people to criticize democracy. In fact, the ability to do so is an essential quality of democracy. Authoritarians are so weak they don't allow people to criticize authoritarians. Silencing dissent is an essential quality of authoritarian regimes.

It seems so completely, plainly obvious that absurd amounts of wealth and the corresponding power that comes with it are corrupting, morally on an individual level and more broadly on a social level. People will look back on the early 21st century and wonder how it was allowed to happen.

Here's an opportunity to support the other journalist arrested today; Georgia Fort, who will have far fewer resources available to her than Don Lemon.
Georgia Fort's is chilling, and it's being overshadowed by the equally chilling arrest of Don Lemon.

A GoFundMe is being set up for Fort. In the meantime, you can support her work directly – without paying massive fundraising platform fees – through her website:
