On Wednesday evening, developers began to notice their games were being unceremoniously delisted or outright removed from Itch.io. Itch's founder says it's the direct result of a financial censorship campaign from Collective Shout, an org with ties to anti-porn groups www.wired.com/story/steam-...
Steam and Itch.io Are Pulling ‘Porn’ Games. Critics Say It’s a Slippery Slope to More Censorship
A conservative group is targeting payment processors as “a weapon” to get adult games deindexed in storefronts. Even games that have nothing to do with sex or abuse have been caught in the dragnet.

Given the 616 pages, I'm assuming this is just the cine scripts, which is really cool! One day tho I hope the larger studios start publishing/posting their gameplay scripts too b/c they're the bulk of the player experience, much more unique to our medium, and sooo much more useful to learn from
The Last of Us: Part I and Part II Scripts hardcover book is up for preorder on Amazon ($66.63 - 616 pages) buff.ly/yaIkruk

"This volume contains the script from both The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II, as well as the DLC, Left Behind"

the yakuza fanbase figured out years ago that as long as they don't care how similar a game looks to its predecessor, they can play a brand new game that's an instant banger roughly every two years or so, often with pretty good spin-offs on the off-years
Related, I see a lot of gnashing of teeth at how similar Ghost of Yotei looks to Tsushima. Like, yeah dog, Tsushima came out in 2020. Do you -want- every game to take eight years? Sometimes iteration is the cure rather than a symptom.

Even if you assume the legitimacy of ICE operations, the idea that a fucking truck-mounted machine gun is necessary to carry them out is insane.

This is about intimidation. This is them letting us know that the streets of the United States have been militarized.

@lostincult.co.uk hi! Is there any update on when the Enhance Soundworks Collection will start shipping? Your website says Spring 2025, but I’m assuming that’s changed?

For folks with a negative reaction to Mexican flags at LA protests, a little familiarity with the history & culture of California--and LA in particular--might change your mind. These protests are to protect local communities, not to appeal to white people watching from afar. They are organically LA.
It should be obvious that most of the people criticizing the use of the Mexican flag during protests intensely misunderstand California politics and culture.
