I've said this before and I intend to say it many more times: you are what you regularly do. Wanna be a better version of yourself? Incorporate growth in that direction every day (or as often as possible while still being healthy). Identity is in the daily practice, friends.

Had a few people ask re: signed copies of the new kids' book (ahem: us.macmillan.com/books/978037...)

Short answer: they will exist but I don't know where to link you yet. Usually I do a couple local signings (Virginia), and sometimes I'm sent places to sign stuff, but the book isn't out till June.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

I don't think enough people realize that for many folks on disability they cannot risk having over a VERY low cap of money/property or they will lose their benefits nearly immediately

It often prevents folks from marrying as well it's ludicrous

“I know you can’t afford things but we also cannot afford things” will be, I predict, a losing message. The world’s first trillionaire is on the horizon. “We can’t afford transportation, healthcare, food and shelter” will no longer cut it for the “progressive” party.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

If a court actually debates whether or not people should get money for food to eat, and then even entertains listening to the side that wants to withhold that funding... this is how you know something is very very wrong with the system of checks and balances.

it says a lot about the average politician that this guy seems to expect that zohran mamdani only said what he said to get elected and doesn’t actually believe in anything
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."
