If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.

This is why it's hard to look forward to 2026 knowing this plan is already in motion. A lot more resisting in our future
Phase 3 is complaing about both a) the rising costs of incarceration an additional 10M+ people, and b) the lack of manual agricultural labor now that undocumented immigrants have been expelled from the US. The answer to both will be "prison labor on a scale not seen since US chattel slavery."

We really need to start paying attention to this underlying need that is driving the demand for "AI". This is a real human need. We know that because it is making people do things that are objectively not very smart. People will compromise their reasoning and their values to get their needs met.

If you are providing me with an education that is low utility in the world then it’s a disservice. My composition class spent four weeks on poetry. I’m sorry, but that only would’ve been useful if I wanted to be a poet. I don’t need to know iambic pentameter in order to be a victim advocate.

Nothing is more important to the preservation of the white supremacist status quo than silencing Black voices. This is why so many white people are indoctrinated to work overtime to try and silence Black voices. Whether they identify as leftist or MAGA matters not. Our silence is the endgame.
