I take your point but I still loved it. It was dripping with style, and had strong theme game. For me it was totally unexpected and the most excited I've been about Sci Fi in a while. The first 4 episodes were bonkers in the best way

Great question! Going way back, I think "Going back to Cali" solidified my interest in hip hop. Later on anything by Soul Coughing comes to mind. But mostly Portishead... still feels wildly unique to this day. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. Growing up in the 80s and 90s gives a lot to source from

We really need to start paying attention to this underlying need that is driving the demand for "AI". This is a real human need. We know that because it is making people do things that are objectively not very smart. People will compromise their reasoning and their values to get their needs met.
