Idk who needs to hear this but winning a judges choice award for craftsmanship or performance in a cosplay is still a big deal.
There will always be winners and runner up. And getting a judges choice means they wanted to award you for one of the bigger ones but came down to points and still

Took my 3 little cousins out last night for trick or treat in my neighborhood and they had an absolute blast. My nephew ditched us for his friends but whatever. The oldest was 10 and the little little ones were 4 and 3. And they lasted for about an hour before they were ready to walk back home.

And its these same people who didnt realize this when lock down/shut down happened during covid and new millions upon millions of people had to rely on assistance because of layoffs and business couldn't open because of the restrictions
The vast majority of people are one accident or serious health issue away from financial ruin.
They judge those who need social assistance without realizing that it could easily be them needing assistance tomorrow.
You are closer to being disabled or homeless than rich.

Yes because the waybwe are always under watch and scrutiny for everything we do, say, or react is so exhausting.
And the way you have to find joy in little pockets daily….I had to take a step back and process my feelings in a certain way

Found out that a brand copied my IV Hoodie design. They even have me blocked. Only found out thanks to people letting me know. I don't want people to harass them. I don't own the idea. But I do own the way that I did make it. It just sucks that this happens so much.

Bluesky's failure to catch on with the right-wing isn't because its members are uniquely censorious to people who disagree with them, it's because the one thing this site has going for it is a functional, comprehensive block system, which reduces the right's ability to bully, mock, and harass.
They're welcome to be here, none of us are required to listen. If that frustrates them so much that they leave, that's their choice.
If they can't compete in the marketplace of ideas, that's not my problem at all. We don't need to artificially boost alt views just for viewpoint diversity.

This site would actually be better if it had more voices from across the political spectrum, and efforts to push out right wing accounts are only entrenching Twitter/X's dominant position in the political discourse.
